Job Summary
Direct interactions with veterans in behavioral services at the Jefferson County CMHP-CCBHC, including telephone contacts for crisis support, reminders for appointments, and transportation to counseling sessions when approved. Assist clients in connecting with medical services, OHP Assisters, food banks, and community recovery activities while managing case management documentation. Collaborate with clinicians, medical practitioners, and the Prevention-Health Education Team on suicide prevention strategies and initiatives. Maintain HIPAA compliance and current CADC-I or QMHA-I certification.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree or 5 years of relevant experience in the behavioral health field
- Familiarity with veterans/services as well as mental illness and substance abusing populations
- If in recovery from mental illness and/or substance abuse, continuous sobriety under non-residential, independent living conditions for the immediate past two years
- CADC-I or QMHA-I certification
- Eligibility to register within 1 week of hiring to obtain QMHA-I within 6 months or CADC-I within 1 year
- Valid Oregon Driver License or ability to obtain one upon hire
- Minimum 21 years of age
- No Type A violations in the past 3 years, or three (3) or more Type B violations
- Reliable vehicle with adequate insurance to travel as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's degree in a behavioral health field
- Bilingual in English/Spanish
