Job Summary
CARE Coordinator provides short-term individual and group counseling and outreach to undergraduate and graduate students at UT Austin's LBJ School of Public Affairs. Responsibilities include initial assessments, crisis intervention, care coordination, development and facilitation of groups, outreach/workshops for students and faculty, supervision/training of interns and practicum students, and collaboration with CMHC and university partners to address psycho-social mental health needs. Requires licensure to practice independently in Texas (LPC, LCSW, or Psychologist) and relevant experience in mental health settings.
Required Qualifications
- Appropriate educational degree which meets eligibility requirements in the state of Texas for licensure
- Licensed to practice independently in the state of Texas as a Professional Counselor, Clinical Social Worker, or Psychologist
- If licensed in another state, must be able to obtain license to practice independently in Texas within one year
- Experience in high demand outpatient or inpatient mental health setting
- Demonstrated experience in providing brief individual therapy, crisis intervention, group therapy, care coordination, and case management
- Experience providing culturally competent treatment to a varied client population
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and communication skills
- Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate
