Care Coordinator

Handle all administrative tasks and duties for the physician/provider, serving as the liaison for patient medical care. Streamline patient-physician communications, provide clinical preparation instructions, and assist patients with procedure questions. Schedule all diagnostic tests, procedures, and follow-up appointments while reviewing the physician's schedule for maximum efficiency. Obtain authorizations for procedures and tests, call patients to confirm procedures a week in advance, and check out patients at the end of visits. Complete tasks from the Electronic Medical Record, review open orders every three days, and contact patients with test results. Returns patient calls promptly and professionally, calling in new prescriptions and refills as necessary. This role offers Monday through Friday hours with no weekends or evenings. Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA) preferred with 2+ years of experience. Gastro Health is one of the largest gastroenterology multi-specialty groups in the United States with over 130+ locations.
