Job Summary
Care Coordinator Auth Scheduling Specialist handles referrals and coordinates with referring/receiving practices, obtains authorizations, directs patients to providers in their insurance plan, educates patients on insurance coverage, and coordinates scheduling of procedures/tests across departments. Primary duties include reviewing benefits, preparing financial estimates, ensuring accurate scheduling and time allocation, following up on referrals to prevent care gaps, and supporting coordination of surgical procedures, diagnostics, or other services. Requires high school diploma or GED and computer proficiency; familiarity with insurance concepts and medical records software is preferred; strong customer service experience is needed.
Required Qualifications

- Thorough understanding of Insurance coverage (FSC/Coverage/Plan types) and Medical Necessity policies preferred
