Job Summary
Care Coach (Part-Time) at Charlie Health responsible for facilitating 1:1 peer discussions, delivering skill-based interventions to stabilize clients, conducting risk screenings and safety planning, and maintaining engagement across treatment programs. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in psychology/social work or related field (Master’s preferred), experience with young adults/adolescents in clinical settings, and ability to work 10+ hours/week remotely within US; compensation is $20/hour with 3–4 shifts weekly and specific MT time windows. Must have reliable internet, be authorized to work in the US, and proficient with common digital tools (Slack, Zoom, EMR, Google Drive, MS Excel/Sheets). Additional state-specific certifications may apply (e.g., VA PRS/FSP). Not currently hiring in several states per posting. Please note background checks are required in some states.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (earned or in senior year) in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work or social/mental health related field and/or relevant certifications (Certified Peer Specialist - national or state accredited)
- 2nd year Master’s students preferred
- Previous expertise working with young adults and adolescents in both individual and group settings (Inpatient, IOP, PHP, or RTC) preferred
- 1+ years experience in working as a mental health peer support, mentor, skills trainer, or mental health associate (preferred)
- Virginia PRS or FSP certification and registration (for VA applicants)
- Direct experience and lived experience with mental health or substance use disorders
- Reliable WiFi and ability to work remotely in confidential setting
- Authorized to work in the United States and native or bilingual English proficiency
- Proficiency with cloud-based communication and software (Slack, Dropbox, Gmail, Zoom, Google Drive, EMR)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office – Excel or Google Sheets
