Job Summary
Support bank customers and prospects through phone, web chat, and electronic channels to market financial products and services. Handle customer service calls and chat interactions while resolving documentation errors, escalating disputes, and assisting with new account openings. Provide telephone support for traditional and electronic banking inquiries using effective communication skills to solve problems within designated authority. Maintain a solid understanding of products and services to ensure professional resolution of issues.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a call center representative
- Referral and service functions experience in a bank or financial institution
- Minimum typing speed of 50 wpm
- Possess excellent human relations and communications skills
- Friendly demeanor
- Can-do attitude
- Willingness to help at all times
- Use questioning and listening skills that support effective telephone communication
- Identify and use voice skills to enhance telephone presentation
- Effectively cope with angry or upset customers
- Able to cope with pressure resulting from meeting required productivity levels and deadlines
- Able to protect and maintain confidential information
- Professional in appearance
- Professional in verbal communication
- Demonstrate teamwork in facilitating workflow
