Job Summary
CARE CENTER AGENT focuses on handling patient inquiries and scheduling by phone, maintaining accurate scheduling and demographics, verifying insurance, and obtaining referrals/authorizations. Requires excellent customer service, basic computer skills, and ability to manage scheduling systems; preferred medical terminology and prior switchboard/call center experience. The role includes communication with supervisors on patient concerns and performing other duties as assigned; position is fully remote after in-person/on-site training for a non-exempt, entry-level healthcare-administrative capacity.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Preferred: Medical Terminology
- Minimum: Proven basic computer skills and ability to type 35 words per minute
- Preferred: One year experience in a switchboard, medical practice, or call center
