Job Summary
Prepare and recover patients for cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology procedures, and minor surgeries in a 30-bed unit open Monday through Friday. Manage approximately 40 to 50 daily patients across the Cath lab, EP lab, and Minor Procedure Room while supporting Cardiac OR surgery. Requires 1+ years of bedside nursing experience with telemetry or cardiac exposure preferred. Shifts include 7:00a-7:00p or 5:30a-4:00p, three days a week, excluding weekends and major holidays. This role supports Sentara Heart Hospital, ranked #2 in Virginia for Cardiology services and Heart Surgery.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing
- Virginia RN License Virginia or Compact/Multi-State Eligible
- BLS certification within 90 days of hire
- 1+ years of bedside nursing experience
- Virginia RN License Virginia or Compact/Multi-State Eligible
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Nursing- BSN or MSN
- Telemetry -Cardiac experience
- Previous healthcare experience
- Critical Care/IMCU ACLS certification within 1 year of hire
