Job Summary
Provide kind, caring companionship and support to Memory Care residents, assisting with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility. Lead one-on-one and group activities while serving residents during mealtime and assisting with laundry and basic housekeeping. Ensure timely responses to resident, family, and employee concerns to maintain high customer satisfaction. Maintain a positive demeanor toward residents, visitors, and co-workers while making independent decisions to solve practical problems in unstructured situations. Requires CNA or CHHA license depending on state, English proficiency, and basic computer skills.
Required Qualifications
- Acceptable proficiency in English to perform job duties, communicate with supervisor and other employees, and respond and communicate to emergency situations
- You may need to have a CNA or CHHA license depending on the state
- You have basic computer skills
- Proficiency with Outlook, Excel and Word is required
- You possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
- You have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- You can maintain a positive and friendly demeanor toward the residents and your co-workers
- Senior Lifestyle requires that all employees provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination unless exempt due to medical, religious, or personal beliefs
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with seniors with dementia including participation in activities is preferred
