Job Summary
Provide kind, consistent companionship and support to Memory Care residents, assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility. Lead one-on-one and group activities while serving residents during mealtime, managing memory care laundry, and performing basic housekeeping within the neighborhood. Respond timely to resident, family, and employee concerns to maintain high customer satisfaction, ensuring a positive and professional demeanor toward all individuals. Maintain a positive demeanor toward residents and co-workers while making independent decisions and solving practical problems in situations with limited standardization.
Required Qualifications
- Acceptable proficiency in English to perform job duties, communicate with supervisor and other employees, and respond and communicate to emergency situations.
- You may need to have a CNA or CHHA license depending on the state.
- You have basic computer skills.
- Proficiency with Outlook, Excel and Word is required.
- You possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- You have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- You can maintain a positive and friendly demeanor toward the residents and your co-workers.
- Senior Lifestyle requires that all employees provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination unless exempt due to medical, religious, or personal beliefs.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with seniors with dementia including participation in activities is preferred.
