Job Summary
Provide care and support to vulnerable older people across eight residential services in Fife, promoting social inclusion and enabling personal independence. Deliver positive encouragement for daily life choices and flexible support for accessing activities and local community opportunities. Work on a rota basis including early, late, and night shifts with unsocial hours paid at basic rate plus 1/3 hourly rate. Ensure care meets Health and Social Care standards while collaborating with partner agencies for effective planning. Obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership and work toward SVQ 2 qualification within the required timeframe.
Required Qualifications
- Must have or be able to work towards the required qualification SVQ 2, as required by the Scottish Social Services Council
- Provide care and support which meets the Health and Social Care standards
- Must be able to work with other Council services and partner agencies to support the effective planning and delivery of care and support within our service
- Must be able to work flexibly and creatively within a dynamic and ambitious team
- Must obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland
- Must apply for registration within 3 months of start date
- Must hold or work towards the SSSC benchmark qualification for the role
- Must complete the required Continuous Professional Learning (CPL) for the role
- Must submit an annual declaration via My SSSC
