Obtain insurance and medical records release authorizations, verify referrals, and generate authorization requests to specialists. Review encounter tickets for code accuracy, file clinical data, and process medical records requests in compliance with HIPAA and Risk Management policies. Screen telephone inquiries, connect callers to qualified staff, and answer basic questions regarding physician qualifications and billing. Maintain medical records, ensure compliance with infection control standards, and complete all mandatory departmental requirements.
