Job Summary
Coordinate care on designated Cardiovascular ICU shifts by acting as a resource nurse, providing direct patient care, and leading the staff. Determine staffing fluctuations, respond to departmental concerns, address immediate staff issues, and coordinate patient flow while maintaining oversight of employees. This entry-level leadership role supports the CVU team specializing in open-heart surgery patients, complex cardiology cases, and cardiac device management. New Graduate RNs welcome.
Required Qualifications
- Current Indiana or compact state RN license
- BLS for Healthcare Provider
- ACLS certification (obtained within 12 months of hire)
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification (required, within 10 weeks of hire)
- One year of nursing experience
- Professional/Specialty certification required as per unit/department standards
- Post offer, pre-employment drug testing
Desired Qualifications
- One year of experience in area of specialty preferred
