Job Summary
Per Diem Cardiovascular Ultrasound Tech II performing advanced cardiac ultrasound and vascular studies, patient care before and after procedures, and equipment maintenance. Responsibilities include generating ultrasound images, ensuring daily calibration and quality assurance, assisting with post-procedure transport, maintaining and troubleshooting equipment, entering data and preparing reports, and potentially providing staff training and acting as a subject-matter expert for Cardiovascular Sonographers. Requires CPR and ability to perform emergency cardiac care, with room setup and turnover between procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Sonography, Radiology or a related field within 3 months of hire, OR Completion of a twelve (12) month ultrasound program within 3 months of hire.
- Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), or registry eligible and become registered within one (1) year from date of hire.
- One year minimum experience in acute hospital setting.
