Job Summary
The Cardiovascular Tech RCIS assists with technical aspects of invasive cardiovascular procedures under supervision, serves as scrub tech and circulator, and operates imaging equipment in the cath lab while monitoring patient status. Responsibilities include teaching and orienting staff and students, assisting physicians during procedures, transporting patients, maintaining sterile technique, ordering and stocking supplies, troubleshooting equipment, and ensuring effective inventory control. Required credentials include an associate or bachelor’s degree (science emphasis or equivalent healthcare experience), AHA ACLS, RCIS within six months of hire (or ARRT and TX RT(R) in lieu of RCIS).
Required Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree, science emphasis or commensurate healthcare experience
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardio Life Support certification
- RCIS certified within six months of date of hire
- ARRT and TX RT(R) required in lieu of RCIS
