Job Summary
The Cardiovascular Technologist RCIS role supports invasive cardiovascular procedures in the cath lab under physician/supervisor direction. Responsibilities include assisting with procedures, operating imaging equipment, serving as a monitor tech, acting as a circulator and scrub tech, handling patient transport and lab readiness, maintaining sterile technique, managing supplies and inventory, demonstrating medication knowledge and dosages, and assisting with post-procedure safety and sheath management. Requires an Associate or Bachelor's degree, and certifications including ACLS, RCIS within six months, and ARRT and TX RT(R) in lieu of RCIS. The position is based in Plano, TX, at a full-service hospital with a focus on cardiovascular care.
Required Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree, science emphasis or commensurate healthcare experience
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardio Life Support certification
- RCIS certified within six months of date of hire
- ARRT and TX RT(R) required in lieu of RCIS
