Job Summary
Cardiovascular Technologist to join an innovative cardiovascular program in a hospital setting with 16 Cath Lab Same Day Surgery rooms and multiple procedure spaces. Responsibilities include preparing equipment and patients for procedures, maintaining sterile technique, assisting with patient care, serving as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students, stocking rooms during downtime, and fostering strong relationships with physicians and leadership to ensure excellent patient care. The role supports collaboration with 10 cardiologists (including interventionalists and an electrophysiologist) across the Cath Lab, and requires adherence to department policies and competencies within six months of hire.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of 24 month formal program or military program of Radiologic Technology with American Registry of Radiologic Technology eligible and/or current RCIS
- RCIS certification preferred or current RCIS
- Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training prior to providing patient care; current BLS maintained through employment
- ACLS training must be achieved within 6 months of hire and maintained
- Complete Cath Lab RT Orientation within 6 months
- Complete all competencies listed in department policy within 6 months
- Experience in Procedural Area preferred
- Registered and/or RCIS with American Registry of Radiologic Technology
