Job Summary
Scrub and assist the physician with cardiac, vascular, and IR procedures while performing CVL scrub duties and anticipating the physician's needs. Analyze, use, and care for all technical equipment and supplies, ensuring accurate records and reports are produced. Maintain radiation safety, promote a safe environment, and take appropriate action in emergency situations. Ensure all supplies, equipment, and medications are assembled prior to procedure start and provide direct patient care to stable and acute patients. This Cardiovascular Technologist role is part of SCA Health's Optum network, supporting physicians and health systems in delivering efficient, value-based care across 370+ ambulatory surgical centers.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an AMA approved school of Radiological technology, or of certified RCIS program
- AS or BS degree
- High school graduate or equivalent
- ARRT or RCIS Certification
- Current BLS
- Current ACLS
- Minimum of 3-5 years of cardiac cath lab experience
- Able to perform at a proficient level all radiology procedures related to the cardiac cath lab
- Able to scrub and monitor to assist and perform all other tasks as needed to perform all cases in cath lab procedures including pacemaker, vascular, cardiac, and pain management procedures
- Able to provide direct patient care to the stable and acute patient
- Ability to manipulate various types of electronic, radiographic, and clinical equipment
- Ability to calibrate and troubleshoot various types of cath lab and computer equipment
- Ability to operate specialty equipment in the facility and to perform tasks at a user level
- Must be personable

- Must exhibit positive interpersonal skills
