Cardiovascular Technologist

Conduct invasive cardiovascular procedures including angioplasty under physician direction, scrubbing with sterile technique and preparing surgical trays. Monitor patient hemodynamic status and ECG, collecting and entering data into monitoring systems while generating completion reports. Perform pre-procedure interviews, review lab work, educate patients, obtain informed consent, and position patients for testing. Calibrate equipment, perform daily QA checks, and assist with arterial closure devices and sheath removal. Serve as a resource for troubleshooting complex technical equipment and collect data for ACC-NCDR and Connecticut Registry databases. Participate in inventory management, cath lab quality improvement, patient transport, and on-call rotation for emergency diagnostic and interventional procedures. Maintain compliance with organizational expectations regarding quality, service, and teamwork.
