Job Summary
Assist physicians with routine to complex invasive diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular procedures, including cardiac catheterizations and angioplasties. Prepare catheters, balloons, and wires; clean and drape sterile fields per AORN standards. Monitor hemodynamic parameters, administer contrast, and manage arterial/venous lines and assist devices. Document data, enter codes, and provide patient and family education regarding site care and precautions. Participate in patient transport, monitor post-procedure complications, and train new personnel. Requires RCIS or R.T.(R)(CI) certification within one year, ACLS, and CPR; salary range $38.79–$66.86/hour.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED including completion of a Cardiovascular Technologist training program and/or related college level education in basic sciences
- RCIS - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist with Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) within 1 Year
- R.T.(R)(CI) - Registered Technologist in Cardiac-Interventional Radiography within 1 Year
- CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days
- Health Services ACLS
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in cardiovascular laboratory procedures particularly as relates to cardiac and vascular interventional procedures
