Job Summary
Cardiovascular Technologist in the Cardiac Cath Lab providing diagnostic and interventional support (e.g., coronary angiography, PCI) in a Monday–Friday 6:30 AM–5:00 PM schedule in Gainesville. Responsibilities include preparing procedure rooms, ensuring equipment readiness, maintaining sterile technique and infection control, operating cath lab imaging/monitoring equipment, recording and interpreting hemodynamic data and ECG tracings, assisting with vascular access and sheath removal, educating and communicating with patients and team members, documenting in the EMR, maintaining radiation safety per ALARA, participating in QA, process improvement, inventory management, and contributing to efficient case starts and room turnover. Candidates should bring a strong technical foundation in cardiovascular imaging or invasive cardiology, along with excellent communication and teamwork skills to support safe, high-quality cardiovascular care.
Required Qualifications
- Eligibility to perform cardiovascular imaging or invasive cardiology procedures
- Ability to prepare procedure rooms and maintain sterile technique
- Proficiency in operating cath lab imaging and monitoring equipment
- Experience recording and interpreting hemodynamic data and ECG tracings
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to respond to emergent cardiac conditions and maintain patient safety
