Job Summary
Cardiovascular Technologist in the Cardiac Cath Lab performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures under the guidance of interventional cardiologists and the cardiovascular team. Responsibilities include preparing patients and labs, operating imaging and hemodynamic monitoring equipment, maintaining sterile technique, assisting with coronary angiography and PCI, managing contrast media and radiation safety, ensuring accurate documentation in the EMR, coordinating with physicians and nurses, and participating in quality improvement and ongoing education. Requires an associate degree in a related field and relevant certifications/licensure per UF Health standards; prior cath lab or interventional cardiovascular experience is highly desirable.
