Cardiovascular Technologist in UF Health’s Cardiac Catheter Lab in Saint Petersburg, FL. Responsibilities include preparing patients and procedure rooms for cardiac cath cases, operating and assisting with imaging and hemodynamic monitoring equipment, maintaining sterile technique, and collaborating with physicians and nurses to obtain high-quality diagnostic images and hemodynamic data. Also perform vascular access and device preparation, support coronary angiography and percutaneous coronary interventions, manage contrast usage, uphold radiation safety and infection prevention standards, and ensure accurate documentation in the electronic medical record. Post-procedure duties include patient transfer and monitoring, equipment restocking, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives and ongoing education. The ideal candidate has strong cardiovascular imaging/monitoring skills, meticulous attention to detail, excellent communication, and prior cath lab or interventional experience; an associated degree in a related field is typically required, with licensure/certification per Florida UF Health standards.
