Job Summary
Conduct cardiac catheterization procedures in the procedure room, scrubbing and circulating while monitoring patients and managing hemodynamic recordings. Prepare equipment, administer medications under physician direction, and apply closure devices or sheaths post-procedure. Perform point-of-care testing, troubleshoot imaging equipment, and complete accurate data entry for registry requirements and procedural reports. Provide patient education, emotional support, and thorough documentation of all events and deviations. Account for inventory control and supply deployment while collaborating with clinical teams to ensure optimal patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
- PALS certification for children's hospitals or ACLS certification for adults
- Bachelor's degree in health science with six months of health care experience
- Graduate of a Radiologic Technology, Cardiovascular Technology, Respiratory Therapy, or Nursing program
- Graduate of a diploma or associate program in health science with one year of health care experience
- Graduate of a non-programmatically accredited program in invasive cardiovascular technology which has a minimum of one year of specialty training and includes a minimum of 800 clinical hours
- Intermediate computer skills
- Current license, where applicable
- Surgical Tech/Assistant Certification per state requirements
- Rad Tech state license per state requirements (Montana)
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES)
- ARRT-CI or ARRT-VI
- RN (previous relevant RN experience required)
- Demonstrated expertise in performing complex diagnostic and advanced interventional procedures or demonstrated understanding and proficiency in correlation with years of experience with regards to electrophysiology procedures
- Maintains at least 12 hours of continuing medical education (CME) credits per year
- Demonstrates clinical competence of CVIS/CVES I skills evidenced by skills sign off
- Must meet all state specific requirements including, but not limited to: Surgical Tech/Assistant Certification per state requirements, Fluoroscopy Operator Certification as required in the state of Colorado, Montana ARRT state license

Desired Qualifications
- 2 years of CV Invasive Training experience
- Fluoroscopy Operator Certification per state requirements (Colorado) within 3 months of hire
- Bachelor's degree in health science program
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology, Cardiovascular Technology, or Respiratory Therapy program
- One year of Invasive Cardiovascular Technology or Electrophysiology experience (not including academic training or CVIS training)
