Cardiovascular Technologist - Cardiac Cath Lab

Prepare patients for procedures by reviewing medical history, draping and positioning, and administering contrast media or medications within scope. Assist physicians with performing diagnostic and therapeutic vascular interventional procedures, including imaging and monitoring patient condition to report status changes. Analyze results to resolve image quality issues, troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, and implement safety standards and quality control. Educate patients regarding procedures and equipment to ensure cooperation. Work night shifts in the Cardiac Cath Lab, Structural and Electrophysiology Lab, under supervision to read health records and identify diagnoses affecting outpatient visits.
