Job Summary
Review provider orders and perform electrocardiograms, stress testing, and cardiac monitoring while educating patients on procedures and equipment. Prepare supplies, position patients, analyze tracings, and reposition or repeat exams as needed to identify quality issues. Monitor patient status, report adverse results, and maintain equipment by troubleshooting malfunctions. Work nights in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision, utilizing critical thinking and decisive judgment. Requires a current Certified Cardiographic Technician or equivalent certification, BLS, and one year of relevant experience.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Cardiographic Technician
- Certified EKG Technician
- National Certified ECG Technician (NCET)
- Certified as a Cardiographic Technician (CCT) by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
- Certified as a (Certified EKG Technician) (CET) by National Health Career Association (NHA)
- Certified as a (Certified EKG Technician) (CEKG) by National Workforce Career Association (NWCA)
- Certified as a (EKG Technician Certification) (ETC) by American Medical Certification Association (AMCA)
- National Certified ECG Technician (NCET) through National Center for Competency Testing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider
- Relevant life support certification as determined at position level
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
- 1 year of relevant experience
- High School diploma or GED
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision
- Requires critical thinking skills
- Requires decisive judgement
- This position is an onsite role
- This position does not offer a hybrid or remote option
