Job Summary
Review provider orders and perform ancillary tests including electrocardiograms, stress testing, and cardiac monitoring. Educate patients on procedures and equipment to ensure cooperation, while analyzing results and identifying tracing quality issues. Prepare equipment, position patients, and maintain clean, working conditions by troubleshooting malfunctions. Monitor patient status and report adverse changes immediately. Assist precept new hires and student interns within scope of job. Requires critical thinking and decisive judgment in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Certified as a Cardiographic Technician (CCT) by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), OR certified as a (Certified EKG Technician) (CET) by National Health Career Association (NHA) OR certified as (Certified EKG Technician) (CEKG) by National Workforce Career Association (NWCA) OR certified as a (EKG Technician Certification) (ETC) by American Medical Certification Association (AMCA) or National Certified ECG Technician (NCET) through National Center for Competency Testing within...
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 6 months of hire
- 1 year of relevant experience
