Job Summary
Reviews provider orders, performs electrocardiograms, stress testing, and cardiac monitoring while educating patients on procedures and equipment. Prepares supplies, positions patients, analyzes tracings, and troubleshoots equipment malfunctions to ensure clean, working conditions. Monitors patient status, reports adverse results, and assists precepting new hires or student interns within a fast-paced environment requiring critical thinking and minimal supervision.
Required Qualifications
- Cert Cardiographic Tech
- Certified EKG Technician
- National Certified ECG Technician (NCET)
- Certified EKG Technician
- High School diploma or GED
- Certified as a Cardiographic Technician (CCT) by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
- certified as a (Certified EKG Technician) (CET) by National Health Career Association (NHA)
- certified as (Certified EKG Technician) (CEKG) by National Workforce Career Association (NWCA)
- certified as a (EKG Technician Certification) (ETC) by American Medical Certification Association (AMCA)
- National Certified ECG Technician (NCET) through National Center for Competency Testing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider
- Relevant life support certification as determined at position level
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer
- 1 year of relevant experience
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
- Critical thinking skills
- Decisive judgement
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
