Job Summary
The Cardiovascular Tech RCIS assists with technical aspects of invasive cardiovascular procedures under supervision, teaches/orients staff and students, serves as monitor tech and scrub tech during cath lab procedures, operates imaging equipment under physician direction, supports circulator duties, transports patients, stocks/cleans the cath lab, demonstrates knowledge of medications/dosages, maintains sterile technique, orders supplies, maintains inventory control, and ensures post-procedure safety and hemostasis. The role requires working in the cath lab, preparing the lab and patient for procedures, and troubleshooting equipment as directed by the physician. Methodist Mansfield Medical Center is a 262-bed acute care hospital with multiple recognitions and a dedicated team serving North Texas.
Required Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree, science emphasis or commensurate healthcare experience
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardio Life Support certification
- RCIS certified within eighteen (18) months of date of hire OR ARRT and TX RT(R) required in lieu of RCIS
- Licenses and/or Certifications (Required and Preferred)
