Job Summary
Assist with technical aspects of invasive cardiovascular procedures under the direction of the supervisor and physician. Responsibilities include operating imaging equipment, serving as a scrub tech and Circulator, interpreting basic and advanced dysrhythmia and EKGs, monitoring patient status, assisting with transport, preparing and maintaining the cath lab, stocking supplies, and ensuring sterile technique. Requires teaching/orientation duties, expertise in medications and dosages, and ongoing equipment troubleshooting. Education in science and relevant licensure/certifications (AHA ACLS, RCIS or ARRT with TX RT(R)) are required or preferred, with RCIS certification to be obtained within six months of hire. Location: Methodist Richardson Medical Center – South Carrollton area serving Dallas/Collin counties; Magnet designation and other recognitions noted. The role encompasses monitoring, imaging, and procedural support in the cath lab with emphasis on patient safety and lab readiness.
Required Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree, science emphasis or commensurate healthcare experience
- Licenses and/or Certifications (Required and Preferred)
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardio Life Support certification
- RCIS certified within six months of date of hire
- ARRT and TX RT(R) required in lieu of RCIS
