Cardiovascular Tech RCIS

Assist with technical aspects of invasive cardiovascular procedures under physician direction, including monitoring dysrhythmias, operating physiologic recorders, and scrubbing or circulating during cath lab interventions. Prepare the lab and patient for procedures by maintaining sterile technique, shaving, and marking pulses, then post-procedure safety by removing sheaths and monitoring status. Transport patients, clean and stock the lab, order supplies, and troubleshoot equipment problems while demonstrating knowledge of medications and theoretical procedures. Assist in teaching students and new staff.
