Job Summary
Assist in invasive cardiovascular procedures in the cardiac catheterization lab under supervision, operating imaging equipment and serving as a scrub tech and circulator. Responsibilities include interpreting basic and advanced dysrhythmia and EKGs, monitoring patient status, transporting patients, maintaining sterile technique, stocking and preparing the lab, knowledge of medications and dosages, troubleshooting equipment, and teaching/orienting students and new staff. Also assists physician during procedures and with post-procedure safety while supporting inventory control and procedural readiness.
Required Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree, science emphasis or commensurate healthcare experience
- Current American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification
- RCIS certification within six months of hire
- ARRT and TX RT(R) required in lieu of RCIS
