Job Summary
Assist with the technical aspects of invasive cardiovascular procedures in the cath lab under physician/supervisor direction. Responsibilities include operating imaging equipment, acting as scrub tech and circulator, interpreting basic and advanced dysrhythmia and EKGs, monitoring patient status, assisting with patient transport, preparing the lab and sterile technique, ordering supplies, and ensuring post-procedure safety and hemostasis. Requires providing training/orientation to students and new staff, and demonstrating knowledge of medications, dosages, and procedural workflows.
Required Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree, science emphasis or commensurate healthcare experience
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardio Life Support certification
- RCIS certified within six months of date of hire
- ARRT and TX RT(R) required in lieu of RCIS
