Job Summary
The Cardiovascular Tech RCIS will assist with technical aspects of invasive cardiovascular procedures under supervision, including operating imaging equipment, acting as scrub tech and circulator, and assisting with patient transport and cath lab setup. Responsibilities include teaching/orientation of students and new staff, interpreting basic dysrhythmia/EKG during procedures, maintaining sterile technique, preparing and stocking the lab, understanding medications and dosages, troubleshooting equipment, and ensuring patient safety before, during, and after procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree, science emphasis or commensurate healthcare experience
- Licenses and/or Certifications (Required and Preferred)
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardio Life Support certification
- RCIS certified within six months of date of hire
- ARRT and TX RT(R) required in lieu of RCIS
