Job Summary
The Cardiovascular Tech RCIS assists with technical aspects of invasive cardiovascular procedures under physician supervision. Responsibilities include monitoring patient status and interpreting basic/advanced dysrhythmia and EKGs, operating physiologic recording and imaging equipment, assisting as a scrub tech and circulator, transporting patients, stocking and preparing the cath lab, demonstrating sterile technique, and supporting medication knowledge and dosage understanding. The role also involves teaching and orienting staff and students, troubleshooting equipment, and coordinating supplies for the cath lab.
Required Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree, science emphasis or commensurate healthcare experience
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardio Life Support certification
- RCIS certified within six months of date of hire or ARRT and TX RT(R) required in lieu of RCIS
- Licenses and/or Certifications (Required and Preferred)
