Job Summary
Perform cardiovascular procedures in the Invasive Cardiology Department under the supervision of the Cardiologist or Electrophysiologist, assuming responsibility for designated Lab procedures and basic patient care. Take call as assigned and report to work within thirty minutes of page. Requires two years of experience in an Interventional Cardiac Cath or Electrophysiology Lab, graduation from an accredited Health Science program, and current Florida licensure or registration. Must hold Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certifications within ninety days of hire. Background screening through The Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse is mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- Two (2) years of experience in an Interventional Cardiac Cath and/or Electrophysiology Lab
- Graduation from an accredited Health Science program (Associate of Science degree or higher) or graduate of an approved/accredited school or cardiovascular program
- One of the following: Registered Cardiovascular Technologist (RCIS and/or RCES) OR Registered Radiologic Technologist (CV, CI, RCIS, and/or RCES) OR Registered Respiratory Therapist (RCIS and/or RCES) OR Registered Nurse (RCIS and/or RCES)
- Current licensure or registration in the state of Florida (excluding CVT)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications within ninety (90) days of hire date
- Ability to take call as assigned
- Ability to report to work within thirty (30) minutes of page/call
Desired Qualifications
- Intermediate/expert knowledge of hospital computer applications
- Structural Heart experience
