Job Summary
Assemble sterile fields and tables for all procedures while maintaining a clean, organized workspace. Transport patients on stretchers or beds up to 250 lbs independently or dependently, and handle medications safely in accordance with hospital policies. Demonstrate proficiency with Meditech, Site Rite, guidewires, and catheters to reproduce exams on CD or film. Communicate clearly with physicians and team members regarding patient information, scheduling, and supply needs. Respond to hospital calls within thirty minutes for on-call requirements. Perform prolonged standing, walking, and lifting while making appropriate judgment decisions in urgent situations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- RCIS preferred (must have within 6 month of hire) or any TN state licensure that allows for the administration of medication
- Must be in compliance with CE Requirements
- BLS within 90 days of hire
- Must respond to hospital within thirty minutes for on call requirements
- At least one year of direct patient care experience
- Meditech computer system
- Site Rite
- Proficient use of guidewires, catheters and other necessary supplies
- Communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing
- Prolonged standing, walking, bending, stooping, and lifting (50 lbs.)
- Ability to transport patients on stretchers or beds up to 250lbs dependently or independently
- Make appropriate judgement decisions in urgent or emergency situations
- Ability to work well under pressure response
