Job Summary
Cardiovascular Surgeon to join an established cardiovascular program in Salisbury, MD. The role encompasses performing open-heart and thoracic surgical procedures, with involvement in advanced cardiovascular technology including minimally invasive DaVinci robotic thoracic procedures, Convergent procedure for atrial fibrillation, surgeon-led TAVR and MitraClip programs. The program handles a high volume of cases (275+ open-heart, 140 TAVR, 30 MitraClip annually) with an emphasis on quality and team-based care. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of practice beyond fellowship, board certification, and is comfortable with a 1:4 call schedule. General thoracic surgical procedures are preferred but not required. Required Qualifications
- Board Certified in Cardiovascular or General Surgery (as applicable)
- MD or equivalent medical license in the state of Maryland
- Eligibility to practice in Maryland
- Experience in cardiovascular surgery with proficiency in open-heart, TAVR, MitraClip programs (preferred)
