Job Summary
Cardiovascular Special Procedures Technologist (Part Time) in Chandler, AZ. Primary responsibilities include performing prescribed radiographic procedures in the Cardiac Cath/IR Lab, scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring during procedures; educating patients/families about procedures; producing high-quality images and ensuring accurate documentation; maintaining equipment quality control and ensuring radiation safety; supporting efficient department workflow; and collaborating with physicians and hospital staff. Requires ARRT certification and a Radiologic Technology program credential, BLS/ACLS (and PALS where applicable), and state licensure/certification as required. IR or Cath Lab experience is preferred, but recent graduates are encouraged to apply. The role involves 2 ten-hour shifts (6:30am–5:00pm) with on-call requirements for nights, holidays, and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Recent graduate or ≤2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab, Electrophysiology (EP) or equivalent experience
- Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited Radiologic Technology program
- ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology (RT) as required by state law
- Licensure and/or certification as required by state regulatory agency, if applicable
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification where applicable
- Basic knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology
- Basic understanding of Cath Lab procedures and protocols
- Effective communication skills and problem-solving ability
