Job Summary
Cardiovascular Sonographer Traveler provides direct patient care performing ultrasound procedures in echocardiography and vascular imaging, with responsibilities including reviewing patient history and physician orders, educating patients about procedures and equipment, preparing/administrating contrast media within scope, monitoring patient condition, selecting imaging factors and exposure settings, ensuring safety and quality control, positioning patients, and analyzing imaging results. The role supports a travel/traveler contract model (13-week assignments with extension options) and involves collaboration within a multidisciplinary team and opportunities to precept others, all within UCHealth’s fast-paced clinical environment.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technologist program or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program.
- 1 adult echo and 1 vascular credential from: ARDMS: Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) - Adult (AE); Vascular Technologist (RVT).
- CCI: Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS), Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS), Registered Cardiac Congenital Sonographer (RCCS), Advanced Cardiac Sonographer (ACS).
- State licensure if required by law.
- BLS - BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
