Job Summary
Provides direct patient care performing ultrasound procedures in echocardiography and vascular imaging. Reviews patient history and orders, educates patients on procedures and equipment, may prepare and administer contrast media within scope, and adjusts imaging parameters. Ensures safety, quality, and appropriate imaging results; participates in precepting new imaging staff and contributes to a fast-paced, innovative clinical environment. Travel/variable assignments include 13-week rotations with a travel package; requires ARDMS credentials (RDCS/AE, RVT or equivalent) and applicable state licensure; BLS required.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technologist program or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program
- 1 adult echo and 1 vascular credential from ARDMS (RDCS - Adult, RVT) or equivalent (RCS, RVS, RCCS, ACS)
- State licensure if required by law
- BLS/CPR card through AHA or Red Cross valid through start date
