Job Summary
Review patient history and physician orders to schedule exams, educate patients on procedures and equipment, and administer contrast media or medications when ordered. Continually monitor patient condition, select appropriate imaging parameters, position patients, and perform echocardiography procedures while analyzing results for quality issues. Implement safety standards, execute equipment quality control, and troubleshoot or report malfunctions as necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technologist program or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program
- 1 adult echo credential
- 1 vascular credential
- ARDMS: Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) - Adult (AE)
- Vascular Technologist (RVT)
- CCI: Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS)
- Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS)
- Registered Cardiac Congenital Sonographer (RCCS)
- Advanced Cardiac Sonographer (ACS)
- State licensure if required by law
- BLS - BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
- LOCAL Traveler contract options available for those who reside within 75 miles
- 13 week assignments available
