Job Summary
Perform cardiac and vascular ultrasound testing including 2D echo/Doppler, dobutamine stress, exercise stress, and vascular procedures such as carotids, arterials, venous duplex, aorta, and renal artery duplex. Provide documentation and preliminary interpretation of results for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Maintain BLS certification and hold dual registry credentials through ARDMS or CCI for both cardiac and vascular modalities. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of registry approved ultrasound program or equivalent experience according to Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC)
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS)
- Must be credentialed through American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credential International (CCI) in both modalities at time of hire
- Echocardiography: Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
- Vascular Testing: Vascular Technologist (RVT) through American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
- Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS) through the Cardiovascular Credential International (CCI)
- Registered Technologist Vascular Sonography [RT(VS)]
Desired Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in each modality in a hospital inpatient, outpatient, or ambulatory setting
