Job Summary
Monitor inbound fax and email traffic to book appointments across various departments, retrieving voicemails from Live Vox three times daily. Function as the primary scheduler during lunch breaks and staffing shortages. Assist the Benefits Specialist with insurance verification and pre-authorizations for cases booked over 48 hours prior, and support other schedulers with verifications for cases booked less than 48 hours prior. Work a 40-hour week across 4x10-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, following the company holiday calendar. This role supports Adventist HealthCare's mission of physical, mental, and spiritual healing within the Montgomery County community.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Two years of Medical Scheduling, Insurance Coverage and Benefits or Patient Access experience
- Strong customer service skills
- Critical thinking
- Analytical skills
- Proven ability to communicate with others in a positive manner
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- COVID-19 Vaccination
