Job Summary
Perform a variety of technical and patient-oriented duties during cardiovascular procedures, including cardiac catheterization, pacemaker insertions, arteriograms, venograms, digital subtractions, vascular studies, nephrostograms, angioplasty, and other related studies. Operate monitoring equipment, surgical instruments, cardiac output machines, pulse oximeters, ECG machines, intra-aortic balloon pumps, and cine film processors. Conduct invasive procedures, perform ECGs, monitor patients during procedures, prepare test results and data for review, and assist with pre- and post-procedure patient management according to Lab guidelines. Requires current Maryland licensure, ARRT registry, and CPR certification, with IV certification within 90 days of hire. Salary range $42.33 to $69.88 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program
- Current radiologic technologist licensure in the State of Maryland
- Current registry with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT)
- Current CPR certification
Desired Qualifications
- One (1) year of cardiovascular lab experience
- ACLS certification
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)
- Certified Interventional Technologist (CIT)
- IV certification by HCGH within ninety (90) days of hire date
