Job Summary
Perform invasive procedures, coordinate care, and participate as a member of the multi-disciplinary team at the Cardiovascular Diagnostic Laboratory. Operate within eleven procedure rooms treating congenital heart defects, coronary artery disease, cardiomyopathy, heart failure, peripheral vascular disease, and valvular heart disease. Maintain current BLS/ACLS certification and pass the Johns Hopkins Arrhythmia Course and Exam before recording independently. Full-time day shift with on-call and weekend work required.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved AMA School of Radiologic Technology
- Licensed by the Maryland Board of Physicians Quality Assurance as a Radiology Tech
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
- CVRT I: Current BLS/ACLS Certification required within 1 year from the end of orientation date
- Must pass JHH Arrhythmia Course and Exam before recording independently
- CVRT II: Current BLS/ACLS Certification required
- Current PALS Certification is required if in pediatric cardiology
- Must pass the JHH Arrhythmia Recognition exam annually
- On-Call and Weekend work is required
- Applicants who require sponsorship now or in the future will not be considered for this position
Desired Qualifications
- AA degree preferred
- Advanced certification is encouraged
- CI or CV registry is encouraged, in Electrophysiology
- RCES registry is encouraged
- HRS certification is encouraged
