Job Summary
Assist physicians with cardiovascular and pulmonary diagnostic and therapeutic procedures by operating x-ray and physiological equipment, including C-Arm and angiographic injectors. Monitor and record patient vital signs, administer opaque media via catheter, and maintain sterile techniques while ensuring radiation safety. Operate special procedure equipment, select technical factors, and perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on cardiac cath devices. Complete procedure documentation, charge records, and perform daily room cleaning and equipment disinfection. Requires ARRT-R certification, state licensure, and current Fluoroscopy license.
Required Qualifications
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Radiography ARRT-R
- Radiologic Tech RT in the state of practice
- Current Fluoroscopy license in CA within 6 months of hire
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation CPR certification or Basic Life Support BLS certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Basic Life Support BLS certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS
- All required vaccinations
- E-Verify participation and acknowledgment of Right to Work notices
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience
- One year's catheterization experience
