Job Summary
Conduct diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures as a first assistant under physician direction. Perform baseline patient assessments, evaluate patient responses to maneuvers, and provide requested patient care within the cardiac catheterization laboratory. Manage on-call rotation of at least 8 shifts monthly, including weekends, while maintaining proximity to the facility. This role supports a 50-person Cath Lab team handling an average of 10 procedures daily across EP, Cardiac, and IR labs.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate or Equivalent
- A graduate of a diploma, associates, or bachelor's health sciences program (includes, but is not limited to cardiovascular technology, ultrasound, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy or nursing) or a licensed/certified EMT or paramedic
- BLS
- ACLS required within 90 days of hire
- Must be within 30 minutes of the facility for on call requirements
- On Call requirement is a minimum of 8 shifts per month including at least 1 weekend
- The schedule is 5 eight-hour days
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)
- Cardiovascular Invasive Technologist or working in an invasive cardiac environment 1 year
- Medication administration experience
- Specialty procedures experience
- EP and Cardiac Cath Experience
- Sterile procedure experience
- Trade School graduate
