Cardiovascular Invasive Technologist

Job Summary
Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, assisting physicians with catheterization, electrophysiology, and imaging while maintaining equipment and ensuring radiation safety. Educate patients and families, participate in research projects, and actively contribute to quality assurance and accreditation compliance. Manage inventory, operate imaging systems, and support patient transport and room turnaround under physician supervision. Maintain documentation, attend continuing education, and complete required certifications including RCIS, ACLS, and PALS. Requires ability to accommodate after-hour call coverage.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Technologist (RCIS) required within 6 months of hire
- CPR Training required and/or must be obtained within 45 days of hire
- PALS and ACLS certification required and/or must be obtained and maintained within 12 months of hire
- Completion of an accredited Cardiac Technology program, Associate, or Baccalaureate program in health science required
- Ability to accommodate after hour call coverage
Desired Qualifications
- 1-3 years related work experience preferred
- Pediatric experience preferred
- Knowledge and skill in invasive procedures protocols, equipment and instrumentation specific to cardiac invasive procedures preferred
- Interpersonal skills necessary for effective communication with physicians, nursing personnel, clinicians, other support staff, patients, and families
- Demonstrates the skill set to work independently
