Job Summary

Conduct diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, assisting physicians with catheterization and electrophysiology while maintaining equipment and ensuring radiation safety. Lead shift operations, coordinate training for new staff, and oversee quarterly medical record audits and quality assurance programs. Manage supply inventory, troubleshoot vendor issues, and enforce regulatory guidelines for accreditation. Serve as a technical resource for imaging processing and patient positioning, while participating in research and quality improvement initiatives. Requires Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Technologist (RCIS) certification, two years of pediatric experience, and ability to accommodate after-hours call coverage.

Required Qualifications

  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Technologist (RCIS)
  • CPR Training
  • PALS certification
  • ACLS certification
  • Completion of an accredited Cardiac Technology program, Associate, or Baccalaureate program in health science
  • Minimum of 2 years of pediatric experience
  • Record of a completed diploma (or equivalent) or academic transcript for those areas performing complexity testing
  • Knowledge and skill in invasive procedures protocols, equipment and instrumentation specific to cardiac invasive procedures
  • Ability to accommodate after hour call coverage

Desired Qualifications

  • 1 year of leadership experience
  • Interpersonal skills necessary for effective communication with physicians, nursing personnel, clinicians, other support staff, patients, and families
  • Demonstrates the skill set to work independently
